May 4, 2014 –

Attention Fellow Pet Lovers,

You and everyone that you know are cordially invited to a special event, the Third Annual Lancaster Pet Day.  This event will be held Sunday from 12 noon until 4 pm at the Fred F. Groff, Inc Life Celebration Home, 234 W. Orange St., Lancaster, PA, rain or shine.  The afternoon is designed to recognize and enhance our relationships with our favorite companions, pets.  There will be various animal rescues present for pet adoption, animal rights organizations present for education, out door dog demonstrations, pet photography, food and much, much more.

Again the main goal is to promote animal well being, encourage adoption of pets that are in desperate need of a home over buying a pet and celebrate the bond between human and pet.

A low cost Vaccine and micro-chipping clinic from the Central Pennsylvania Animal Alliance is being sponsored by one of the animal rescues. This is a great opportunity because there are many pet owners that can’t afford to vaccine and microchip their pet, especially in the current economy.  This should help the community a great deal.

Again, there is going to be many other things going on for pet day, there will be various animal rescues (dog, cat, bird) present for pet adoption, animal rights organizations (humane league, United Against Puppy Mills) present for education, outdoor demonstrations (like Read Rose Search and Rescue and City K-9 unit), Bob Rudy’s Pet Radio, pet photography, blessing of the animals, pet psychic, crafts, food, in addition to the discounted pet vaccinations (10.00 each), micro-chipping (25.00 each) and much, much more!

So come for an incredible day of fun, food and pets!
